Getting Yourself A Car – The Need for Wheels

Tired of paddling your way to school or to work?

There is this time in our lives where we need a car and actually need to get one on our own. Whatever the purpose of buying the car, you are bound to reach that point of vehicular milestone. Here are some tips you might like to know before shelling out your cash:

Options on how you can get a car:

-          If you have a healthy bank account then buying a brand new car won’t be such a tough decision, in the first place.
-          You can buy a second-hand car that doesn’t have much problems. Always double-check. Get in touch with a friend’s or family relative’s mechanic to help you on this.
-          If ever you have your old car, you can always do a trade-in with car shops and just pay a few more bucks. Again, get in touch with a friendly neighborhood mechanic.
-          You can also negotiate to lease the car.

In finding the car that fits you, here are some tips before going in for the kill:

-         Compare prices from different dealers, but don’t let them know you’re doing so and maintain the confidentiality of the prices of the different dealers.
-          Know the incentives and rebates of the dealers but you have to figure this out by yourself without asking the dealers, a little friendly chat could always give away something.
-          When you negotiate your offer, don’t make the offer too low, rather say your calculated offer from the value of the car itself plus the incentives, rebates and advertising charges.

It would take at least two months for a person to buy a car with all the research, canvas and calculations going around. Think very well and be wise when choosing the right car and negotiating with the dealer. Good luck!

Fastest Racing Cars

Just a recap on the Formula 1 race last October 10, 2010 held in Japan (I still can’t get over it, apparently):

·         Champion was Sebastian Vettel with 25 points.
·         First runner up with 18 points Mark Webber
·         Second runner up with 15 points Fernando Alonso
·         Third runner up with 12 points Jenson Button
·         Fourth runner up with 10 points Lewis Hamilton.

Speed demons are definitely on the loose – good thing they’re all on the right track.

From the wire.

The Top 3 speed demon race cars that not even a dust can bite:

·         The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport - it is the fastest car in the world. It travels in a speed of 257.87 mph in 2.4 seconds.
·         It has beaten SSC Ultimate Aero that travels at a speed of 256.15 mph in 2.78 seconds.
·         The last car that can push its maximum speed under three seconds is Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition - at the speed of 250 mph within 2.9 seconds.

Who knows how many point seconds are left till it reaches the 3-second mark?

The car comes in the color silver and black. This one is a multi-color package with black and orange.

SSC Ultimate Aero

This car comes in a lot of color like royal blue, red, orange, yellow, gold, silver and brown.

Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition

Hmmm. The only color I can see is black and silver.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 2011 was not just a rumor, it is true. Look forward to know how much its worth. Uhm, but not really.

Boy, would I dream to have one of the fastest cars in the world.  On second thought, it’s too much excitement for me. I’m good where I’m at, at the bleaches hearing the roar of the engines, with the smell of burning tires in the air.

That’s it for this week. Don’t drink and drive folks.

Find Your Dream Car – FAST

You’re on an intersection on the way to office and you look out your window. Your eyes narrow as you see the car next to you and you say to yourself, “I want that car”. The light goes green and off the other car goes, and there you are thinking, “Where do I get one like that? Perhaps at half the price because of mortgage, electricity…” and on, and on, and on.

Are you talking about this car?
Are you talking about this car?

Search engines like Google can help even the most clueless and speed-hungry souls (and car-buyers on a budget). And maybe equally faster as your dream car, search engines can give you car buying guide and tips in mere seconds.

We want speed, grr. Please.
We want speed, grr. Please.

Here are some car buying tips in finding your dream car:

Information – Thousands of websites are available to give you all the information you need when comparing and looking for your dream car. You might even learn new features and specifications you never knew existed. With tough competition nowadays, car makers are always re-inventing product features yet keeping their price competitive (except of course for those select luxury cars).

• Reviews – Car owners often share their thought on how their new car is performing. Search engines can direct you to forums and online communities where car lovers unite.

• Things dealers, financers and automakers don’t want you to know – Inside information on how to get the best deals, product information and tips on how to stretch your budget in purchasing a new car can also be found through search engines. There are lots of websites willing to give out information and advise on how to get your loan approved, or how you can make your dealer say yes to you (a little more challenging than the other way around.)

• Great deals - The one thing that you will probably like best is that great deals can be found on the internet, and only a search engine can deliver you this one. Somewhere lurking on the world wide web are great offers and bargains that lucky buyers like you might find. Low monthly payments, freebies and other packages are sometimes made especially available through the internet and not your local dealer.

• Personal ads – Not through dealers, but owners of cars themselves will be the ones you will be dealing with – straight trade and of course, possibly, open-for-negotiation deals.
Most importantly, have fun in choosing your car, and if it’s a family car, be sure to involve them in choosing it.

More than a vehicle, a car (or a boat, a truck) is a very personal item. It is not just meant for transportation alone, but an important part of someone’s lifestyle. And most of all, it can make you look really cool.

Search engines can be a powerful tool in making this important decision in your life, so click around and you’ll see a lot more information than what your local dealer is willing to tell you.

Definitely, 'Muffin' nicknames are out.

Also, remember to give a very thoughtful and very special nick for your new baby. I'll go for "Lucky" anytime.

Top 5 Formula 1 2010 Winners, Singapore Grand Prix

With Twelve teams and two members joining the race, I present to you the top five winning team as of this Formula One 2010 September’s race.

    5. Sebastian Vettel - Team Red Bull representing Germany with 163 points. Red Bull is hoping to secure Vettel’s services until 2015 since his contract would end by 2012. His team wants to hurry up due to the rival team issue. What’s the rival thing all about? Well, we’ll leave it at that.

    4. Jenson Button - Team McLaren-Mercedes representing United Kingdom with 165 points.

    3. Fernando Alonso – Team Ferrari representing Italy with 166 points.

    2. Lewis Hamilton – Team McLaren-Mercedes representing England, United Kingdom with 182 points. He is the World’s youngest champion driver.

    1. Mark Webber – Team Red Bull representing Australia with 187 points.

Close call for Hamilton and Webber there, it was a good race nonetheless. Racing is totally on top of my list of coolest things ever. Not to mention the expensive car parts, the maintenance, the wheels and don’t forget the life insurance. I could go on but then again, thank God for sponsors. On a lighter side of the note, which car is your favorite?
