Top Pick Up Trucks of 2010

We all heard about famous race cars, family cars, fastest cars, most expensive cars, cheapest cars, etc. Today, we take a sneak peek on pickup trucks - usually used to carry a lot of heavy materials at the back of their open trunk. Here are some of the top pick up trucks of 2010. Enjoy.

1. Toyota Tundra

Price: $38,105
Tundra came out around the year of 2000 and has been a favorite since then. The manufacturing headquarters are located in Texas. The engine is one of the things why a lot of people love this car and it quickly filled the United States’ streets.

2. Ford F-Series

Price: $42,900
Of all the F-Series, the F-150 is one of the most popular and has remained on top. According to an analyst, these pickup trucks account for most profits made by the company. My cousin has this car, so I can just drive the baby, after I ask permission to use it of course.

3. The Ram

Price: $42,650
This is also known as the Dodge Ram when it first came out into the market. A lot of Ram was sold since the beginning of the year. The design gradually changed as the demand increases and decreases. It has won a lot of awards over the past few years because no matter where it goes, it moves and runs smoothly.

4. Chevrolet Silverado

Price: $47,820
This model was in the market for 12 years. The company designed it to be classic and they sure know what they’re doing. It’s slightly bulky and heavy duty. Despite those characteristics, they aim well at certain customers.

5. Honda Ridgeline

Price: $36,780
This truck is huge and massive and is particularly popular in Canada this year. This is the first time Honda had an experiment on this line of vehicles. It came out around 2005 and received an award a year after it entered the market.

6. Toyota Hilux

Price: $55,690
Hilux was known as “Tacoma” 15 years ago. After many years of having the same configuration, it was recently modified. This pickup truck is compact but it can carry great weights and go to far distances. I want to try to take this baby for a land trip with my friends.

7. Nissan Frontier

Price: $28,930
This series was manufactured 12 years ago while for some reason it was discontinued in Japan 8 years back. However, it’s being monopolized in the market of North America and Tennessee. When it was first structured a lot of people had wondered whether the public would accept it or not. Fortunately, they did and it’s still working its charms till this year.

8. Mitsubishi Triton

Price: $56,340
This compact vehicle was popularly known as Mitsubishi Forte 8 years ago in Japan. Millions of units were sold only to this year and is being imported by the American citizens almost regularly. This is also known as Mighty Max because of its powerful and massive size. This is one of my favorites.

9. Isuzu D-Max

Starting Price: $49,320
This truck has several versions but the ones made in Thailand are the best. It’s known as “Holden Colorado” in Australia and “Isuzu Rodeo” in United Kingdom. This may be hard to find for all the different kind of names it has. If it’s as good as they said it is, then I’d love to give it a drive.

10. Ford Courier

Starting Price: $69,355
This truck was first manufactured in 1952 and is popular till now, aside from being practical it looks good. The company is selling a huge amount of volumes this year. The Ford Courier has a lot of storage space and the design is easy to work with.

Drive safely and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the team of Motorsports International! We’ll see you again next year, 2011, for more motoring escapades and fun facts filled with the smell of burned rubber and oil.

Fact: Cars are Cheaper during Christmas

If you’re planning to buy a car during springtime, you’re missing a great opportunity to buy one this Christmas for a good deal. Why? It’s because a lot of people are busy buying other gifts and preparing for Christmas. A lot of people wouldn’t want to drive a long the wintery road. The huge opportunity is right in front of you since there is lesser competition, lower dealership traffic, and more incentives as dealers are cleaning up their yearly inventory.

The best day to buy a car is a week after Christmas and considering that it’s also the last month of the year. Car dealers are trying to hit the end of the month and end of the year incentives from car manufactures.

Make a Good Impression with the Dealer

Buying a car for your kid, partner or for yourself this Christmas is not a bad idea. Once you buy the car, it’ll be difficult or impossible to return the car unless you had made arrangements with the dealer. Be sure to get close, friendly or maintain a good communiqué with the dealer. You might even have the dealer drop the purchased car right in front of the recipient’s front yard to complete the surprise.

Auto-Buying Services

If you are not interested with sitting and arguing with the price and fees with the dealer, you might consider hiring an auto buying service with good reputation for as low as $250. You wouldn’t want to waste your time preparing your holiday dealing with a car dealer.

Personal Touch

If you plan to buy it as a gift and want to make it really surprising, then ask the dealer to tie a big bow ribbon. Dealers at some point have done this before so it’s not that difficult to ask. Just don’t forget to take a video and capture the moment when your loved one sees your gift.

Merry Christmas to all the motoring enthusiasts out there!

Royal Enfield Fury launched at Motorcycle Live

Royal Enfield's first twin exhaust bike since the early 1960's was launched at the Carole Nash Motorcycle Live show at the Birmingham NEC this week. The new flat track inspired Royal Enfield Fury was styled by Royal Enfield's UK distributor, Watsonian Squire, and is based on the fuel-injected Electra.

Royal Enfield Fury

It is claimed the twin silencers allow the 499cc single cylinder engine to breathe more freely, producing a distinctive exhaust note.

Wide western style bars sit on a specially made billet aluminium top yoke. The traditional nacelle is replaced with a chrome headlight and digital instrument panel.

The design team at Watsonian also gave the rear end of the bike a radical makeover, replacing the twin saddle with a flat track style glass fibre seat unit, incorporating a discrete tail light and chrome mini indicators.

The bike will be on sale early next year, the Royal Enfield Fury will sell for £5500 in black and at £5895 in blue and white colour schemes.

Top 10 International Police Cars

Ever wondered how police cars look like in other countries? Well, let me tell you, they kick ass. You could see them for yourself. Try and see if you can run away with speeding from them, though the answer to that dear friend, would be no. Here are the Top ten International Police cars that have been upgraded to have some specs for a cooler and faster police car. Please take note that how these cars have been built and geared is strictly for law enforcement use only.

10. Carbon Motors E7 – United States of America

9. Volkswagen GTI - Dubai

1. Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia - Italy

Price: $201,000

Top Speed: 203 mph

This car is very worth it and the price says it all. The smooth, fast driving on the road makes you want to have one, too. There was a report last year that one of the cars had an accident. Don’t worry both the police and the passenger had only minor injuries. Just imagine the horsepower it had to pull that incredible speed. Now I have to add this up in my dream car list.

Keep visiting our blog for more interesting lists. Motor Guide will be publishing more helpful motor tips articles and facts in the next posts to come. (:
